Mr Francis W. Rickett, negotiator •of the famous Ethiopian oil deal, Is reported to be negotiating with President Cardenas of Mexico for the purchase of Mexican petroleum expropriated by Cardenas. It was reported that Mr Rickett, along with Mr Bernard Smith, New York broker, had offered to buy 25,000,000 barrels of Mexican oil, which is more than half the annual production of Mexico.
