A YACHT STOLEN

CRUISE OF THE PACIFIC ADVENTUROUS BOYS’ PLANS United Press Assn.—Elec. '.el. Copyright SAN FRANCISCO, May 26 Three boys aged 16 to 17, high school students, stole a 52-foot sail and auxiliary engine yacht belonging lo a business man at Santa Cruz, California. They stocked up the craft with food supplies and began a cruise on the Pacific which is designed to take them to .Hongkong via Honolulu. The owner of the vessel says the boys have sufficient petrol on board to enable them to cruise indefinitely, and, since one of them apparently took the precaution to study navigation and mapped out an extensive route, their cruise may become just that, particularly in view of the fact that Hip yacht is seaworthy, comfortable and fast. A coastguard cutter which set off in pursuit when the owner gave the alarm to-night signalled a request for an aeroplane's assistance and a fast airship under the command of a naval lieutenant joined in the search. The vacht’s owner, 'who conferred with the adventurers’ parents, expressed only concern for the safety of the boys and his \ease!. He remarked: "I hope the youngsters can get the yacht somewhere without wrecking her and putting their Ihcs iu danger.”
