Tel. lopyrighi DETROIT, May 26 The most, serious clash in connection with a labour dispute sinice the recent revival cf the activities of the Committee of Industrial Organisation resulted in serious injury to at least 50 people, including several policemen. It occurred when an attempt was being made to escort non-strikers through the picket line of the Automobile Workers’ Union, surrounding the American Brass Company’s plant. Mounted policemen used tear gas against the 600 pickets, many of whom were women and children, and finally succeeded in breaking up their resistance. The strike has been in progress five weeks. It was called as a protest against a 10 per cent, cut in wft_.es.
