PUBLIC FINANCE INBTITUTE MR F. B. STEPHENS HONOURED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Advice has been received by Mr F. B. Stephens, research officer of the Department of Internal Affairs, of his election to membership of the International Institute of Public Finance, Paris. This is limited to relatively few persons and confined to those who have made some distinct contribution io the science or practice of public finance. Mr Stephens was tutor-organiser of the Workers* Educational Association with headquarters at Hamilton &ouie >ears ago. He w»* Inter lerinrer in economics at Auckland Univ. i> ’> College. In 1933 he was awarded a Rockefeller fellowship which took him overseas for 2$ years, studying public administration in practically cicry country of the world.
