TEACHER OF PIANOFORTE It must be agreed by every person that when one arrives at the age of understanding, it is desirable to imbue into and assist to bring out of that person any musical talent which may be possessed and which perhaps is lying dormant for the want of tuition and practise. Some, as we know, are gifted with a voice, others come among us with an artistic temperament, whilst others take up the study of law, medicine, etc., etc. It behoves all parents to ascertain what gifts have been bestowed upon their children and if. unfortunately, these children have been allowed to ! grow up to twenty or so without their parents having been able, to assist them to cultivate any gift that they may possess, then it behoves those children to commence the study themselves which has in the past been denied them. \Ye are now going lo refer to the gift of music, and all must agree that the person who can play the piano is much sought after in the social world.
