The Rev. \. \. Rensley presided, and associated with him on tne platform were the Mayor, Mr W. Hetherington, and the ministers of other churches.

A passage from Wesley’s diary describing events or May 24, 1738, was read by Student L. Greenslade, of Trinity College. Auckland. Mr Bensley spoke of Wesley’s life and work, and an address was given by the Rev. R. W. Mayson on the subject or “A Religion tnat Works.” Messages front other religious bodies were given by Archdeacon Gillespie, the Rev. K. T. Jones (Raptlst), and the Rev. (J. A. Naylor (Presbyterianj.
