“EARNED HIS DIVORCE”
DECEIVED HUSBAND’S VIGIL CATCHING THE CO-RESPONDENT (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday “There is great competition to be divorced among some people,” remarked Mr Justice Callan in the Supreme Court to-day during the hearing of 40 petitions in divorce. “You are not going to tell me you watched the house from midnight until 8 o’clock,” His Honour asked Donald Gordon Mackie. who sought a divorce on the grounds of adultery. “Yes,” replied petitioner, who in evidence had stated that he and two others watched the house and saw 7 the co-respondent come out after 8 a.m.
“You have earned your divorce,” commented the Judge, granting a decree nisi.
