OIL PROSPECTING
PLANT FOR NEW ZEALAND EARLY START WITH DRILLING (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, has received cabled advice from the chairman of directors of the New Zealand Petroleum Company, Ltd, (Sir Colin Fraser), who is in New York, that all the drilling plant far the East Coast petroleum prospecting has been shipped and drillers are sailing from the Persian Gulf for New Zealand. An early start will be made on drilling. He also stated that a geological team sailed from New York on May 25, to survey the Taranaki Province.
