AFLOAT FOR HALF AN HOUR
CREW TAKE TO BOATS FIVE SLIGHTLY WOUNDED (United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received May 26, 2.45 p.m.) VALENCIA, May 25. It is now revealed that the Thorpe Hall was afloat about half an hour, enabling the crew to put off in a boat. The captain, mate, wireless operator and chief steward were still aboard when the vessel sank and were picked up after being hours in the water. The only casualties were five slightly wounded.
