Wyn-ard. said that the \Yaitoa-Taup<> highway wa* being tar sealed rom Putaruru to Atiamurt to enable It to stand up to the volume of timber traffic which It was now carrying, since the Atiamurt-Bitirua highway had been closed to timber traffic On the Putaruru-Tokoroa section, estimated to ro«t 14915, a £3 for ft subsidy would be given and on the section from Tokoroa to the county’s southern boundary, estimated to cost £o*24. a £4 to £1 subsidy.
