FINK FIELDS ENGAGED WAIKATO FORM A OUIDE THB PROSPECTS REVIEWED f (By “Pedlook’) Ths Cambridge Trotting Club's Win Ur meeting, which Is to be staged on the Waikato Club's Claudelands track to-morrow, has attracted a well-balanced acceptance list throughout and there is every Indication that tha Cambridge Club will experience a most successful meeting. In every instance ther* should he three place dividends possible and the evenness of Ihe entry should inolte spirited wagering. Following are the fields with a review of the prospects:— 11JO

With &11 with the exception of Kla Kaha and John's Last being off the front the draw for positions may have a bearing on the result. Among the brilliant beginners engaged are Tommy MoElwyn, Militia. Bronze King and Sports Queen and they command attention. Worthy Quest Is a possibility and Bonny Pointer must be numbered among the likely Improvers entitled to consideration In the summing up. Stargum should pace a sound race, while the latest form of Ratepayer would suggest that he may prove one of the hardest to dispose of. Neon Oro should be all the better for racing at the recent Waikato meeting and Excel, Scottish Bard and Loyal Betty will add Interest to proceedings. On the back mark are John’s Last and Kla Kaha, both winners at the last Waikato fixture and tb«y will have their following. Both scored attractively here a fortnight ago and they will need only to pace correotly to possess an excellent chanee. The novice trotters’ event has attracted a well-balanced field and of those off the front mark .few make treater appeal than Moira Bingen. who since racing here last has been doing everything required of her on the training tracks at Claudelands. She should strip a fit mare to-morrow and go one better than her minor placed performance a fortnight ago. Dick Redmond Is capable of Improvement on Waikato running where he did not trot too evenly on occasions. Flash Bye is a strong possibility and Frontier Boy has shown sufficient form to indicate that he may do better soon. He looks well. Rose Marble and Heather Glow are strong possibilities and Riptide will need only to go away correctly to be In the picture. Native Princess 1s by no means out of It off 60 yards- She has solidness in her favour and. like Grand Triumph, she should account for more than beat her. Braemar has been racing consistently but may be preferred later In the day. The favourites may MOIRA BINGEN DICK REDMOND GRAND TRIUMPH

The big rare of the day has attracted an interesting field and fancies should assume a generous ranee. Our Summer has been racing consistently of late runnlner fourth at Thames over the dfstance and since showing winning form over shorter journeys. He should make a bold bid off the front. While he has yet to be tried over the distance Transwell should not find two miles beyond him. his finishing efforts at the end of a mile and a-half suggesting that he should see tomorrow s dfstanco right out. Lucky Love has to be taken on trust and though he is in good rendition Baron Grand will no doubt be preferred. He was second to Bexley Girl in the Cambridge r.up and later to Gay Sister in the Thames Cup. His subsequent form has been somewhat disappointing. but he has been working in encouraging style at Claudelands and promises to strip well on the day. Cavan Chief will no doubt be th* favourite the Impressive nature of his nfftfs recently. He has »f*eed and stamina to command respeet. Chili Bean has been shaping Mkc an early improver on the tracks, *t<*o has Sir Frank, both of whom not without «ood prospers. Levftv and Tryment should add interact to proceedings, while Great Chum in not out rif Aff Wyds. The public may prefer the credentials of— CAVAN CHIEF CHILI BEAN TRANSWELL

A number of those entered here are engaged earlier In the day and their prior form may have a bearing on their prospects In the 'Hautapu Handicap. There are several, of oourse, who enter Into calculations, among them being Wall Street who, despite recent failures, has previously performed In promising style. She should go well here. Ratepayer will be at home over the distance, and Langdale, who will be having his first rffce in company, is cited as a likely customer who will need only to pace correctly to be close up at the end. The disappointing Harlow is liable to show improved form at any time now. while Scottish Bard is a prospect- A firm track will enhance the prospects of Reception, and Roma Girl is capable of improvement on her recent Waikato showing. Equipoise impressed at Thames and his winning form there claims attention In a good hitting race the public may favour— EQUIPOISE RATEPAYER WALL STREET

Kla Kaha is a possibility on recent Claudelands running, while Adversity, off 12yds, will have to be taken into account. He failed at New Plymouth and Hawera. but Is capable of making amends. Bedford has been hitting out In fine style on the tracks and indicating an early return to his best. Petite Jewel drew attention to his claims at the recent Waikato meeting, and may be one of the hardest to dispose of. Tommy Boy has useful form at Awapunl to favour his ohanc.es, and the consistent Vanora is handily placed to give of his best. Isabella Pointer Is In winning form and her successive victories point to her taking a power of beating. King Country will need only to leave the mark correctly to be dangerous, while of the others the best may be the Improving Charlie Chan. Flash Bye has been making good progress on the training tracks during recent weeks and is not without a chance off the front. Moira Bingen. is fancied more earlier in the day, but while the longer distance here may prove beyond her she cannot lightly be omitted from calculations. Grand Triumph is a solid stayer who will be finishing on when a number of the others are feeling the pinch. It seemed at his last appearanre here that he was feeling the need of racing and improved as he is bound to be be may be harder to dispose of on this occasion. Braemar's con slsteney commends him and he will command a following. Win Huon's form was good and while Dilfashlon will need to give of her very best off the back, she is not without a chance. Sir Frank, especially, should go well and it will not be on the score of condition if he fails to give of his best.
