COUNTY CHAIRMAN
MR S. G. B. MACKY RE-ELECTED (Times Special Reporter) TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday Unanimous support was given the nomination of Mr S. C. B. Macky for a further term as chairman of the Waipa County Council at the annual meeting to-day. Members made reference to the progress which had been made under Mr Macky's leadership and emphasised the fact that he had devoted much of his time to the interests of the council. In replying Mr Macky thanked the members for the confidence they had placed in him and for the courtesy they had extended to him in the past.
ELECTIONS IN PROVINCE Chairman of county councils in the Auckland Province elected yesterday include the following:— Oliine'muri. —Mr William Marshall. This will be his seventh year of office. Waitomo. —Mr W. A. Lee. Thames.—Mr Henry Lowe. He was re-elected for the 19th year. Coromandel. —Mr C. C. Rae. Hauraki Plains. —Mr C. W. Parfltt. Rotorua.—Mr H. P. Ford. Piako.—Mr W. C. Kennedy.
