BIGAMY ADMITTED
FORMER HUNTLY MINER WIFE ALLEGES ILL-TREATMENT (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Thursday A plea of guilty to a charge of bigamy was entered in the Police Court to-day by Robert Million (38,, miner, formerly of Huntly. In a signed statement accused said he married in England in 1922 and with his wife and four children came to New Zealand in 1929 and resided in !!untl>. His wife frequently visited Auckland and trouble arose between them. He got work in Te Kulti. the wife remaining in Auckland, lie vi>ited Auckland in February. His v .• i - not lon e ind hi sold up the home and returned to Huntly with two children. In March he visited Auckland and met a single woman. After knowing her a fortnight he proposed marriage and was accepted. He went through a marriage ceremony on April 2 last. The lawful wife, in a signed statement, said she left her husband because of his ill-treatment of her. Million was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence
