The Bill now goes 1o Die Senate, which previously passed a widelydiffering measure. The Bill provides for a minimum wage beginning at 25 cents ts 3d. New Zealand currency; an hour in the first year, increasing by live cents an hour each year until 40 cents (equal to 2s. New Zealand currency an hour is reached- The maximum weekly hours arc to be 44 in the first year and 4 0 after that. The legislation would affect virtually all industries operating in Inter-State commerce.
