POLICE TRANSFERS
CHANQEB IN HAMILTON Sergeant J. T. McGrath, chief clerk for the Hamilton police district, has received notice of transfer to Christchurch, where he will take charge of the office of the Christchurch police district. Sergeant McGrath will replace Senior-Sergeant J. Nelson, who is retiring on superannuation. Mr McGrath has been stationed in Hamilton for the past 1G years and is well known throughout the district. He has relieved at several stations in the wide Hamilton police district. A prominent sportsman, he has represented South Auckland at cricket and was the organiser and captain of the Hamilton Police Rugby and cricket team?. Constable L. T. Smith, of Wellington. will replace Sergeant McGrath. Constable A. Patterson, of Waihi, has been transferred to Hamilton and Constable J. W. M. McLean, of Hamilton, has been transferred to Waihi.
