The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 0 o'clock this morning, .08in. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .09ln. Rainfall for May to date. 3.30in. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 20.09in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL FORECAST (By Go't. Meteorologist). The special forecast by tbe Government Meteorologist covering the Waikato. Thames Valter follows; Forecast: Light to moderate south-westerly to southerly winds, freshening somewhat. Weather changeable with scattered passing showers. Temperatures cooler. Seas smooth to moderate. General Inference: An anticyclone still covers the Tasman Sea. but pressure his fallen somewhat over the Dominion, especially to the south-east. A series of shallow depressions has been passing in the south, and one lay across Northern Otago at 9 a.m.
