SHEEP AND CATTLE BALE Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report a good demand for all classes of cattle and sheep, at the annual sale held at the # Matarawa Land Company's yards at Tokoroa yesterday on account of Messrs Otupai Ltd., and other vendors. A line of ‘•*•76 two-tooth ewes on account of Mr H. B. Williams, Gisborne, sold at 335. Five hundred 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes which had Just arrived from Otupai Ltd.. Taikape, realised 30s 3d. A line of 480 store lambs, 0» 6d. Polled Angus cows, running with Polled Angus bulls sold as follows: 38 at £6 7§; 25 at £8: Hereford cows, £5 7s; a-**d Hereford Polled Angus and Hereford cows and calves. £8 10s; 20monthff* Polled Angus heifers, running with bulls. 31 at £5. A line of 12 i eighteen month Polled Angus and Hereford steers realised. £8; 57 mixed sex Polled Angus weaners. £3 18s; mixed colour 18-months steers sold for £4 Is to £5 is.
