DECLINE IN PRICEB LATEST LONDON QUOTATIONS DAIRY BOARD’S REPORT WELLINGTON, Wednesday Advices from London state that store stocks of New Zealand butter have shown a slight rise over the past week. The quantity held on Saturday amounted to 5426 tons, an increase of 131 tons on the total held at the close of the previous week. This figure compares with a total of 6392 tons held on the same date a year ago. The market was slow throughout the week and a declining tendency was evident. Prices for New Zealand salted on Saturday were around 129 s to 130 s per cwt, as against the previous week's rates of 133 s to 134 s per cwt. Retail prices for New Zealand and Danish butters in London are unchanged at Is 4d per lb.
