Copyright) , (Received May 25, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 24 The Chronicle says that Viscount Halifax twice received Dr. Dirckscn, in continuance of the efforts to lessen the Czech-German tension. Lord Halifax pointed out that the German newspapers* attitude towards Britain was not assisting in conciliation. The Prague correspondent of the Times says elaborate preparations have been made for the funeral of Georgr Hofmann and Nicholas Boehm, two Sudeten farmers who were killed by a policeman. Herr Henlein will attend and will make a speech.
