UNAWARE OF FORTUNE AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD GIRL (Times Air Mall Service) LONDON, April 11 Elght-year-old Ruth Reddlhough, daughter of a Bradford wool magnate, Mr Frank Reddihough. has inherited most of her father’s £1,176,813 and does not know It, (says the Baildon (Yorkshire)/ correspondent of the Daily Chronicle). Her mother told callers yesterday that she had no intention of telling Ruth of her Inheritance till she is old enough to appreciate the news. Ruth appears to be satisfied with her dolls and dolls’ pram. She returns tomorrow fo her kindergarten in a cottage half a mile away from home, and her schoolmistress, Mrs Nicholson, is wondering if the secret can still be kept. Mr Frank Reddlhough, who had been generous to local charities, died In January, aged 67. His widow gets an annuity of £4,000 during widowhood, or a life annuity of £2,000 if she re-marrles- Death duties amounting to £359,696 have been paid. It is understood that Ruth’s fortune will be more than half a million.
