CLERGYMAN FAREWELLED

PRESENTATION AT CAMBRIDGE (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday The Rev. and Mrs Lloyd Francis, who will return to the mission field in Melanesia next month, were farewelled by the parishioners of St. Andrew's Church in the Parish Hall last evening. The vicar, the Rev. C. W. Chandler, spoke in appreciative terms of Mr Frances' Association -with him during the past year. On behalf of the parishioners Mr H. A. Watkins, peoples’ warden, presented Mr Francis with a wallet containing a cheque. Numerous gifts for the mission were also received from well-wishers, while at Tamahere last Sunday a presentation was made to Mr Francis. The function also served as a welcome to the Rev. Gilbert Craib, who replaces Mr Francis as vicar's assistant.
