BRITISH STEAMER BOMBED THREE OF CREW WOUNDED ALLEGEDLY GERMAN AEROPLANES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) VALENCIA, May 23 The British cargo steamer Penthames was bombed and set on fire in the harbour. Three members of the crew were wounded. The captain alleges that the aeroplanes bore German markings and that the bombings were deliberate. The Penthames, a steamer of 3995 tons gross, Is owned by the African and Continental Steamship Company and Is registered In London. Built in 1913 as the Eustace, she was later renamed Baluchistan as a unit of the Hindustan Steam Shipping Company. The steamer was taken over by her present owners and renamed at the' end of last year.
