NATIONAL PARTY
MR PARKER’B INTENTIONS EARLY RETURN IF SELECTED One of the four nominees for the National Party candidate in the Hamilton electorate, Mr T. Parker, who is on his way to England, informed the Waikato Times by cable from the ship to-day, that if he is selected as the Hamilton candidate for the party he will guarantee to arrive In Auckland on his return from England not later than September 9. To arrive by that time he would sail by the Tamaroa. A special general meeting of the National Party members in the Hamilton electorate will be held in the Alexandra Hall on Thursday evening to select a candidate to represent the party in this electorate at the general elections.
The nominees are Messrs R. Cobbe (Ruakiwi), J. R. Fow (Hamilton), A. W. Grant (Te Aroha) and T. Parker (Hamilton).
Each nominee, except Mr Parker, will address the meeting.
