A RED CANARY

BRED IN NORTHAMPTON ORNITHOLOGIST’S SUCCESS (Times Air Mail Service) LONDON, April 10 Years ago a young man here got an idea. . . . Why not breed a red canary? says the Northampton correspondent of the Daily Chronicle. The idea intrigued him. What a change from the yellow canary everyone knows! He set to work, and to-day he is so near to success that he hopes to show his pillar-box red canary next year in London* at the National Show. The man responsible for this triumph in novelty is Mr George Fisher, the well-known ornithologist.
