LOCAL OBSERVATIONS The following local observations on the weather are supplied by Miss Budd, of Messrs Balfour, Irvine and Webster, Limited. Hamilton: Barometer Monday 30.50 Thermometer Max. Min. Sunday 60 42 Mean Temperature, 51 deg. The barometer reads 30.50 and has very little movement. Fair weather Is Indicated today and to-morrow, with seasonable temperature and southerly winds prevailing. One degree of frost was recorded this morning. The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .OOln. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .OOln. Rainfall for May to date. 3.131 n. Average rainfall for May, 4.691 a. Rainfall for year to date, 19.?21n. Average yearly rainfall, 46.321 a. SPECIAL FORECAST (Ry Govt. Meteorologist). Tbt special forecast by tho Government Meteorologist covering the Waikato* Thames Vsllev l« as follows; Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds with north-easterlies predominating. Weather fair to fine and mild. Seas slight to moderate. General Inference: The antl-oyolone which has been moving slowly eastward across the Dominion has intensified, and the centre Is now east of the North Island. A depression has reached •astern Australia, but It Is very shallow and pressure is still high there.
