OBITUARY
MRS ELIZABETH MACKINDER (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Friday The death has occurred at Auckland of Mrs Elizabeth widow of the late Mr George Mackinder, a member of the Waipa County Council for many years. Mrs Mackinder was a daughter of the late Mr S. Robinson, of Gravesend, England, and in 1861 was married, coming to New Zealand by the ship Armstrong in 1864. Two years later she and her husband moved to the Waikato and lived practically their whole lifo in the Kihikihi district.
Mrs Mackinder had been residing with her daughter. Mrs T. Wilson, in Auckland during the last few years. Her grand-daughter. Miss Beryl Wilson, is a nurse in Spain. MR W. T. W. HUGHES (Special to Times) TE AROHA. Saturday The death occurred at Manawaru to-day of Mr William Thomas Weston Hughes, an old resident of the Manawaru and Ruakaka districts, aged 83 years.
