INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENTS MARKET GARDENERS COVERED (By Telegrapn.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday Th* smooth working of agreements negotiated under the Agricultural Workers' Art was referred to to-day by the Minister of Labour, the lion. 11. T. Armstrong. There had recently been a request for an agreement by the Otago market gardeners, who preferred an agreement to an Arbitration Court award The agreement to eo\er market gardeners in Christchurch was also in the Una I stages of completion. The Minister pointed out that the legislation gave him power to frame the agreement himself after hearing {both parties. This, however, he would not do and so far it had not been Mtsssary.
