Timely Suggestions to Protect Your Property Against FIRE Cleanliness and Order. 1. Don’t allow accumulations of rubbish under benches, in cupboards, behind radiators, or anywhere else. 2. Keep shipping and packing rooms free from litter. Keep packing material in bins. 3. Keep oily waste, floor-cleaning cloths, and other greasy material in metal containers, or destroy after use. 4. See that piles of stock or other obstructions do not block doorways. Electrical Equipment. 1. Have all broken fixtures or loosened wires repaired. 2. See that electric cords are not looped over nails, or in contact with anything. 3. See that only standard fuses are used. 4. Turn off the current from electric irons, radiators, &c., when not in use, and remove plug from socket. 5. See that celluloid and other inflammable material is kept away from lights or heaters. 6.
