MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE j The Farmers Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report on the 'sale ns follows: : A small entry of medium quality beef came forward, with a full yarding of boner cows. Competition was brisk throughout, and a total clearance was effected, with second quality, in partii cular, showing an Improvement. A j small yarding of dairies met with keen enquiry, a small entry of sheep comprised chiefly fat ewes. Competition was keen and late quotations were exceeded. A medium yarding of fat pigs, and a light entry of store and weaner pigs came forward. Competition for baconers and porkers was again keen, prices remaining firm on late rates. A full bench of buyers was operating in the store section, with values fully up to recent quotations. Fat ox were forj ward in average numbers, no prime ox being offered. Medium quality ox i met with a good demand, values realised being on a par with recent rates. The offering of cow beef was heavier than usual, with a number of lines of very good quality beef, competition for which was keen with Tuesday’s Frankton rates being fully maintained. The yarding of store cattle was very heavy, competition generally being good for store cows. Medium-quality Shorthorn cows made to £5 7s Gd. Store and boner Jersey cows were sold at values on a par with recent rates, with an excellent clearance. PUKETURUA CLEARING SALE Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report as follows on a clearing sale at Puketurua on account of Mrs E. W. Logan:— The cows came forward In quite good condition and met with keen Competition from a good attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The average price of the cows was in excess of £8 10s. The complete milking plant made a very satisfactory price and sundries sold at late rates. Early calvers made £lO to £ll 7s 6d, later calvers £8 to £lO, others £5 to £B, springing heifers £5 to £9, heifer calves £2 10s, Jersey bulls £4 ss.
