MORE BERVIOEB PLANNED AIR LINERS OF NEW TYPES BILL READ A SECOND TIME (Official Wireless) RUGBY. May 18 The new Secretary of State for Air, Sir Kingsley Wood, speaking in the debate on the second reading of the Air Navigation Bill, said that daily British services were already in operation to Paris. Brussels. Copenhagen and Stockholm. Rome was already served by the Empire route. It was now planned to establish daily services additionally to Berlin, Amsterdam. Prague, Vienna. Budapest, Oslo and Lisbon, and an all-the-year-round service to Switzerland. Sir Kingsley Wood also mentioned plans for tiie development of a medium-weight all-metal airliner, which would be on the market early next year, and of other types suited to routes. The Minister announced that a subsidy would be given to internal air services of £IOO,OOO in the first year, which would diminish progressively over the subsequent four years. The Bill was read a second time by 173 votes to 108.
