NEW BATTLEBHIPB CONSTRUCTED ANTI-AIRCRAFT BATTERIES THE MOST POWERFUL AFLOAT (United Press Assn.— Elec. TeL Copyright) (Received May 19, 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 18 Mr Hector Bvwater, in the Daily Telegraph, reveals that a description of five George V class battleships which are being built is published in the journal of the German Admiralty. The main armament is ten 14-inch guns, the weight of a broadside being 15,6001 b. which Is 40 per cent, below His Majesty's ship Nelson, but. is compensated for by more rapid fire.
The weight of the armour protection is 13.000 tons.
The ships are mounting the most powerful anti-aircraft batteries afloat.
