FRANKTON BRANCH BUBINEBB REPORT ON CONFERENCE At the fortnightly mooting of the Frankton branch of the Labour Party Mr J H Torry presided. Mr Terry gave a report on the Easter Conference, which prn\ed very Instructive and interesting. The conference proved to be of great value to delegates, and It was Interesting to note that several professional men were among them, showing that the party's policy was attracting people that a few years ago would not have been members. The Borough Council candidates from the branch. Messrs F. Williams. W J. Waters and P. G. Gavan. spoke of the council eleetton and thanked all members for their work and interest. Votes of thanks were passed to the ladles who had been scrutineers, to the men who had assisted the party by cars. etc., and to those who had »er\ed refreshments at the various booths during the day of the eleefion. Several members spoke of the forthcoming debates being held fortnights on various toptes of general interest. The winner of the recent art union was announced as Mr Roach, of Frankton. *
