SUCCESSFUL YEAR
LIQUIDATION OF DEBT HAMILTON Y.M.C.A. PROGRESS There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Y.M.C.A.-Y.W.C.A. held last evening. Mr E. P. J. Trevena presided and gave a brief outline of the work which had transpired since the last annual meeting, pointing out that the association had been cleared of debt since that time. Negotiations were being made for the retransfer of the association's land, which had been handed over to the national association, to the people of Hamilton, and he hoped that the members would not look to the past, but to the success of the future. Mr W. A. Curtels, one of the directors. in moving the adoption of the report, said that the reason why the board of directors had resigned was because it realised that its action was to the benefit of Hamilton. If it had not resorted to these means then the Hamilton building would have been occupied by the mortgagees. Miss M. Mawson gave an outline of the ideals of the association, and appealed for the co-operation of members in putting then* into force. The following nominations were receiver! for the board of directors: Messrs F. Findlay, A. Gordon, W. B. Pomeroy, \V. A. Curteis, i>. V. Bryant, J. Treloar, E. P. J. Trevena, B. E. Woodharns and W. Fraser. The executive nominations were as follows: Mesdamcs 11. 11. Toombs, J. R. tow, J. Treloar. 11. Jacka. F. Herbert, ?. L. Gilbert, S. Cox. A. 11. Malcolm. A. H. Norris, A. Miller, W. Earle anJ F. Young. At tlie conclusion of the meeting Mr J. 11. Ledgerwood gave an interesting address on the history of the association, after which members of the Hamilton Borough Council were
