Rainfall for year to date, 19.301 n. Average yearlv rainfall. 46.321 n. SPECIAL FORECAST (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecart by the Government Meteorologist rovering the WaikatoThame* Valley l« as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong east to north-east winds, rising to gale force in places and veering to south-easterly. Weather dull with general rain, some heavy falls probable with flooding in places. Temperatures mild. Seas rough to high. General Inference: A westerly depression passed in the south last night and pressure is rising there. The anti-cyclone over eastern Australia has intensified also in the meantime. The cyclonic depression to the north has travelled south-east-wards and is approaching Cape Maria Van Diemen.
