ANNUAL RE-UNION DANCE

HAMILTON TECHNICAL COLLEGE OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATIONS Recapturing the school atmosphere and providing a happy opportunity for th© exchange of reminiscences, the fifth annual re-union dance of the combined committees of the Hamilton Technical College Old Girls’ and Old Boys’ Associations held last even--irrgf hi the school assembly hall proved a successful and enjoyable function. The large number present included many visiting old pupils.. Blue and white, the association's colours, were prominent in the decorative scheme. In the hall a canopy of streamers swayed above the dancers, streamers in these colours also falling in the shape of square lanterns about the lights. Punga fronds were arranged about the walls, and the stage, on which stood potted palms and shrubs with bowls of lovely chrysanthemums in autumn shades, made an attractive setting at one end of the hall. The banner of the association oc'oupied pride of place above the dais. A multitude of streamers in blue an*d white shades covered the roof in the supper room where the tables were adorned with vases of autumn flowers, comprising chrysanthemums, cosmos, Iceland poppies and zinnias. Here and in the hall alternate blue and white lights glowed. Excellent music was played by the New Zealand Blind Institute Band. The guests were received by Mr and Mrs W. Fraser, the patrons of the associations, the latter wearing a frock of electric blue chiffon velvet.
