RETURNED SOLDIERS
JVAIKATO EXECUTIVE MEETING REUNION DATES ANNOUNCED The executive of the Waikato Returned Soldiers' Association h**ld its monthly meeting on Monday when it was reported that preparations were In hand for the annual reunion on Jump 1 and that the Raglan sub-branch was holding its reunion on May 19. The Te Hoe reunion would be held on June 23. the Department of Internal Affairs agreeing to put concrete kerbing round Sections of plots in the Hamilton Last cemetery an 1 to fill up with soil and grass the sections when completed. The under-secretary in writing to the branch said that in view of the fact that only the standard returned soldier headstones were now to be used in the plot the department would bear the cost of erection of the head«tone -In future even in rases where death not the result of war service The total cost of a headstone including lettering should not now exceed £7 15s.
