Rudder, personal representative in Australia of Imperial Airways and a director of Qantas Empire Airways, left Auckland yesterday for Wellington to confer upon the proposal to inaugurate a trans-Tasman air service. The King has approved the appointment of Vice-Admiral Andrew B. Cunningham, C. 8.. D. 5.0.. to be a Lord Commissioner of the British Admiralty and Deputy-Chief of the Naval Staff', in succession to Admiral Sir William James. Mr J. A. McLean has by unanimous vote been re-elected chairman of the North Auckland Electric Power Board. Mr McLean has been chairman since 1924 and a member of the Board since 1916, says a message from Dargavillc. A congregational meeting of t lie Chalmers Presbyterian Church last night decided to extend a unanimous call to the Rev. Malcolm Wilson, a New Zealander, who is at York Presbyterian Church, England.
