TO-MORROW’S WRESTLING

B"4*FERT AND MEEHAN BOTH FOUGHT BLOMFIELD WELL Al Baffert, the French wrestler who gave such a fine performance in tlie opening match of the Hamilton season against "Lofty'’ Blomfield, will he a visitor to Ihe Hamilton ring again tomorrow night, when he will he opposed by Pat Meehan, who served for five years in the Royal Canadian North-West .Mounted Police. Meehan, who was the first man to avert defeat in a match with Blomfield this season, will be an excellent match for flip Frenchman and a bout filled with thrills from start to finish can»be anticipated. Meehan, who went to Canada from Ireland at an early age, received his ini reduction to wrestling while at school and had further lessons in Ihe police, force while training with other members of tlie force. He also had personal tuition from an old-lime professional in Edmonton and progressed so well that he won the Canadian heavyweight title two years running. lie then became a professional and. in the course of over 200 matches in the cash ranks, he has drawn with Yicenl Lopez, formerly a claimant of the world title, and has beaten men like Tommy Marvin, Leo N'uma Anderson, Gino Garibaldi, Rudy Dusek, Freddie Meyer, and Stanley Pinto. One of Meehan's best performances was to gain a points verdict over Cliff Olsen a few months ago at New Y'ork, Olsen being a wrestler who has had very few defeats. Baffert had also had considerable experience as an amateur before he turned professional, his subsequent record being exceedingly good. He is anxious for a match with Henri de Gian' 3 , who claims the French litle. and those who saw him in action against Blomfield will readily admit that, de Glane will he a worthy champion if he can prove himself a better man than Baffert.
