HEAT IN MELBOURNE
EXTRAORDINARY WEATHER WARMEST FOR 80 YEARS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 16 Melbourne is experiencing extraordinarily warm May weather. Sunday night was the wannest in May for 80 years, the minimum temperature being 02.4 degrees. To-day at noon the thermometer reached 74 degrees. 17.6 above normal. Mildura and north-west Victoria recorded 90 degrees. A change is expected shortly, with cold winds and rain.
