WINTER HOLIDAY

TOUR OF QUEENSLAND A holiday without the worry of preparation, the anxiety as to whether the purse will sta'nd the strain, and the problem of deciding which places to include is the kind of holiday more and more people are coming t % o regard as the ideal one. This chiefly explains the growing popularity of organised, personally-conduct-ed tours, the latest of which to be announced is a trip to Queensland and New South Wales, to extend from July 22 to August 2G.

Wellington passengers for the tour will leave by the Awatea on Friday, July 22, arriving on July 25 at Sydney, where they will stay at the Wentworth Hotel. They will have five extra days in Sydney to wait for the Auckland contingent. Tours of Sydney, Canberra, National Park, Jenolan Caves, and the other show places of New South Wales, will last until August 9, when the party will leave for Brisbane via Newcastle- Here the steel works will be visited, and at Brisbane a full day will be spent at the exhibition. The return to New 7 South Wales after the tour of Queensland will be made by way of the beautiful Northern Rivers district. There will be two full days in Sydney again before sailing for Auckland on August 23. The tour will be personally conducted by Mr W. J. Heslehurst.
