FAREWELL DANCE
MIBB A. SEDDON HONOURED YOUNG HOSTESSES ENTERTAIN Miss Audrey Seddon, who will leave shortly for England where she will further her art studies, was guest-of-honour at a delightful farewell dance arranged by four hostesses, Miss Hilda Short, Miss Beth Muir, Miss Doris Downes and Miss Joan Mulcock, at the Wattle Rooms on Saturday evening. The guests were received by Mrs A. G. Downes, wearing a frock of black suede crepe with white lace tunic coat, assisted by Miss Hilda Short wearing blue flowered ninon, Miss Beth Muir who wore green flowered georgette. Miss Doris Downes in mauve taffeta, and Miss Joan Mulcock wearing old rose taffeta. Mrs Seddon wore mulberry flowered silk, and Miss Audrey Seddon black net banded with pastel-shaded ribbons. The room had been artistically decorated with chrysanthemums. During the evening Miss Seddon was presented with a handbag on behalf of her friends by Mr Colin Clark. Two songs by Miss Rosalie Seddon were much appreciated. Ice blue | moire taffeta; Dorothy Chltty, cherry sreorgette; Alison Winter, midnight 1 blue velvet; Mollie Iggulden, Ivory i floral tafTeta; Jean Wilson, pink 'flowered georgette; Marie Henderson, deep blue panne velvet; Dawn Rogerson. white satin and old gold bolero; loan Clephane. floral crepe sole; Mary Turney (Cambridge), green suede c”epe; Hessey Dcy. cerise taffeta; Miriam Boardman. navy taffeta; Val Usher. blue tafTeta and floral bolero; Leonie Swarbrick, mauve net; Ruth Carbon, green souple satin; Jean Gudev, cherry taffeta; Pat Hazard, blue dull crepe; Margaret Macky, blue - 1 ■ taffeta; Lindsay Kendrick, cardinal crinkle crepe; Helen Baker, blue floral ninon; June Redman, powder blue tinsel crepe.
