WEDDING
BARRETT—DAVIES The wedding took place at All Saints’ Church, Kawhia, on the afternoon of Wednesday, Alav 11, when Xoeline Eunice, elder daughter of Air and Mrs R. T. Davies, of “Richmond Downs,” 'Oparau, was married to Charles Francis, third son of Air and Mrs H. Barrett, of Alt. Albert, Auckland. The Rev. R. S- Coldham Fussed was the officiating minister, and Aliss Jean Sutherland was the organs ist. The church had been beautifully arranged by friends of the bride with white chrysanthemums, and a large wedding bell was suspended I over the bridal party. The bride, who ,entered the church with her father, wore a graceful | gown of cream lace inset with satin, cut on classical lines, the skirt falling to form a train inset with satin flowers. Her long veil, which was caught to the head with a halo of orange blossom, was inset with satin flowers, and she carried a sheaf of cream chrysanthemums and carnations with trailers. She was attended by four bridesmaids, Aliss Joyce Davies, sister of the bride, Aliss Lora Barrett, sister of the groom, Aliss Alma Davies, cousin of the bride, and Aliss Ailie Jackson. They .wore similar frocks of aquamarine silk velvet cut on classical lines and trimmed with white marabout. They wore matching halos and carried muffs of velvet and marabout finished with sprays of cream chrysanthemums and rosebuds. Air Neil Thomas was best man and Messrs Eric Hartstene, Ronald Alaisey and Raymond Brandon were the groomsmen. The ushers at the church were Air A.*Sutherland and Air G. Davies. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Richmond Downs.” the home of the bride's parents, where the rooms had been artistically arranged with blue and white streamers and bowls of white flowers, with a large wedding-bell over the bridal table. The bride’s mother received the guests wearing a. navy suit with a small matching hat and carrying a posy of scarlet flowers. Airs H. Barrett" was wearing a navy blue tailored costume and matching hat, and carried a posy of autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. When Air and Airs C. F. Barrett left by car for the wedding trip, the bride travelled wearing a navy suit with white fur relief, and matching hat and accessories. They will make their home at “Fern Hill,” Oparau-
