There was a fair selection, an active demand, and a good clearance, but stipes and speculators’ lots of greasy merinos were frequently withdrawn owing to firm limits. The first -week of the sales closed with a satisfactory tone. Ihe prices ruling were unchanged on the opening rates, with the exception of slipes, which continued irregular.
