FALL IN NOTE ISSUE DAIRY ADVANCES LOWER (By Tofegrapn.—press Association) V ELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, May 9, was gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £20,8 40,868, or £029,532 less Ilian at tile close of the previous week. Deposits of the trading banks have fallen by £703.047 in the week since the previous return. Government deposits are £70,059 higher. There has been a decrease of £38,555 in the value of the note issue. Advances to the Primary Produt® Marketing Department are £588,096 lower in value than the week before. The sterling exchange reserve has fallen by £166,262, while the investment item is £118,597 higher. The statement with variations compared with the week before is as follows :
