ORDER FOR PROHIBITION <Pv Telegram.—Rrcsa Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday In a statement to-day the Minister of Customs and Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, announced that an order which appears in this week’s Gazette prohibiting the importation, save with the consent, of the Minister of Customs. of oranges, mandarins, grapefruit. lemons and bananas, is effective in respect of such fruit from all countries. including the Cook IslandsA number of importers have made commitments for the purchase of citrus fruit from California. Special permission will therefore be granted to importers who desire to handle their own consignments, which will arrive by the next three boats.
