NO TAX RELIEF
PAYMENTS TO BRITAIN BIG OUTLAY ON DEFENCE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) 'Received May 13, 1 pm., DUBLIN, May 12 No new taxes relie! marked the Irish Budget, which was introduced In the Dali by the Finance Minister, Mr McEntee. The mm of £600.000 is allotted to defence, making the year s total £2,*72.314. The estimated revenue is £31.505.000 and the expenditure £31.500.990. The interest charges In connection with the British loan are estimated at £425.000 in 1038. Mr McEntee recalled that the capital value payments to Britain would have been £100.000.000. The community, therefore, might feel satisfied that it was advantageous to settle the claim for £10,000,000.
