ESCAPE FROM BURNING FLAT ALL BELONGINGS LOST (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Thursday. Escaping in her nightdress from a blazing flat at 1 o’clock this morning, Mrs 11. Grau added another episode to a tale of misfortune. She was seriously injured in the Napier earthquake, being an invalid for two years, and injured again on Saturday in a fall on. a wet floor- She and her daughter and a young visitor, Nola Carter, were awakened this morning in Hill Crest Flats, Mount Eden, by the crackling of fire in the kitchen and were unable to save any belongings in tlie rush to escape. The fiat was gutted and damage was done also to the fiat above, but the brigade made a good save of the rest of the big building. The building and contents of the flat are insured.
