ADDINGTON MARKETS 810 ENTRY OF FAT SHEEP Entries of fat sheep were larger than for some time at the Addington market, but store sheep were forward tn small numbers. Store ewes comprised a few pens of old sorts, which met with little Interest, and store Jambs were also not wanted, the class being poor. Store wethers were in keen demand, selling up to 22s 7d. Bat Sheep.—About 4500 were penned and there was a slightly Jrmer market than last week, prime Wethers made 80s to 335, top to 37s iod, good to medium 29s down to Ms, good ewes from 22s to 25s.tops ei9s, light-weight from 18s down 14s. Fat Cattle —There were 555 penned. Including a lot of good quality. The Mile was dull, values being down by 10a a head. Good steers made £l3 to £ls. tops to £lB 15s, medium £ll 10a to £l3, light down to £», best heifers £8 to £lO, tops to £ll los, medium £8 10s to £8 10s, cows from l£s to 15s less. Good beef ranged from 33s to 35s per 1001 b. Fat Pigs.—Porkers were easier by (J to 3s a head and baconers were Correspondingly dearer. Porkers brought 29s 6d to 58s 8d; average price, 6d to B}d per lb; baconers 59s id to 102 s 8d; average price per lb. id to 84d. Store pigs had a better gale, particularly for weaners, which made from 5s 6d to 10s 6d. Best stores brought to 29s 6d. TIRAU QUOTATIONS The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their monthly sale at Tirau yesterday, when an average yarding of fat and boner Jersey cows was penned. Prices were firm at late Frankton rates. Heavy fat Jersey cows made to £7 ss; medium, £4 15s to £«; light, £3 15s te £4 12s 6d; boners, 30s to £3 ss.
