SURVEY OF FACILITIES EARLY START EXPECTED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The first meeting of the national council appointed under the Physical Welfare and Recreation Act will be held in Parliament House on May 24. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, said to-day that one of the first undertakings would be a thorough survey of existing facilities for sport and recreation and the. needed requirements. He felt that with the spirit and keenness permeating the council’s personnel there would not be delay in reaching that stage of their functions.
