WHAT OF GOLD VAALS?„ - HANDICAPPERS’ ESTIMATE BETTER PLACE IN CORNWLL A DIFFERENCE OF 11 LBS The appearance, to-day, of the weights lor the Cornwall Handicap in connection with the Great Northern meeting, provide an interesting comparison with those issued by the Waikato Racing Club handicapper, Mr W. P. Russell, for the mile and aquarter President's Handicap here. Both Mr McManemin and Mr Russell agree in placing King Rev at top weight with 9.5 and there is little between their estimates of Master Brierly, Gay Rose and Wotan, all pf whom have lib more in the Waikato list. However, on coming to the treatment of that improving performer Gold Va-als there is a wide disparity in the respective handicappers’ opinions. He has 8.7 here and at Ellerslie 7.12—a difference of 9 lb. Here he is asked to give Malagigi 6 lb and in the Cornwall he will meet Malagigi on 51b better terms, or 11 lb more advantageously than at Te Rapa. COUNT WILLONYX BCRATCHED (By Telegrapn.—Press Association) WANGANUI, Friday Count Willonvx was scratched at 10.45 a.m. to-day for all engagements at the Wanganui meeting to-morrow.
